Unicorn Yarn Company is the dream that I always had but did not seriously consider until early 2017. The idea of owning a LYS thrilled me when I was in high school but I never really thought I would ever go into yarnie business. But dreams of children are magical things aren’t they?
I started knitting when I was about 10 years old. I don’t know where I got the fascination with knitting, nobody in my family knit, but I insisted that I wanted to learn. That year for Christmas, Santa brought me a kid’s knitting book, Red Heart yarn, and some needles. I sat with the book open in my lap for hours, reading every page and casting on, knitting one row, and then frogging it. For months I did this. My mom eventually took me to the LYS (which I would later work at) and I had my knitting questions answered.
Unfortunately, I cannot work at every LYS to answer every single knitting question ever, but I can share my knitting knowledge on this blog. Seriously though, I love sharing my knowledge about yarn and knitting so contact me and ask your questions!
