Last Chance! This Lace base is no longer available once it is gone!
When I was younger, Art Quilter Rosalie Dace would come teach in Sisters, Oregon where I grew up. My mother used to invite her over for dinner and she would tell us about South Africa where she lives as well as stories from her travels around the world. Once, she told me that neon orange, or hunter orange, is a neutral. I simply refused to believe her until she took a skein of bright, hot, neon orange mohair yarn and held it next to what seemed like 1,000 colors. Every time, I was amazed that the orange went with whatever other color. So this is my neutral orange, however outrageous that may seem. Thank you for this lesson Rosalie.
This hand-dyed lace yarn is a deliciously soft and luxurious with a blend of 70% Merino Wool and 30% Silk. The silk adds a stunning lustre to any knit project.
When it’s time to wash, I recommend using a wool soak and follow the hand washing instructions on the soak, then dry flat.
Please keep in mind that all hand dyes are a little different and that is what makes them beautiful. Additionally, monitor colors can vary.
