The first time I dyed this colorway was right before we were leaving Central Oregon. I had been looking up at the beautiful evening sky there. Being out in the middle of the woods certainly has its advantages, like little pollution- light or otherwise! I could just see the sky in yarn, the faintest blue at the horizon and stars peaking out of the purple veil of night.
This yarn is my answer to almost all knitting projects. It’s great for a beginning project, easy to hold, soft, durable, and washable. With 100% Superwash Merino and 220 yards, this worsted weight is soft enough even for a next-to-skin sweater for the pickiest of people. Then it can even just be thrown in the wash, so no mini sweaters for your non-yarnie friends.
Who doesn’t love superwash? This knit can be washed in the machine and dried flat. However, after the time I put in, I still prefer to hand wash using a wool soak and drying flat.
Please keep in mind that all hand dyes are a little different and that is what makes them beautiful. Additionally, monitor colors can vary.
